Hello OrACRAO Members,
I hope Winter is treating you well.
The OrACRAO Executive and Conference Planning Committees recently met to discuss OrACRAO issues and to work on conference planning. The 2013 Annual Meeting is approaching quickly and Exhibitor Registration has already started. Many exhibitors have already signed up and are looking forward to attending and getting the chance to meet and mingle with Oregon’s best! The Annual Meeting will be held May 19-21 at The Resort at the Mountain in Welches, Oregon. We hope to see you there.
Two small changes this year, and more to come later. First, we will not have an assigned photographer from the Planning Committee. We will be going social and pushing members to take photos and share to the OrACRAO Facebook page. Awesome prizes will be given to different categories of shared photos. And second, speaking of prizes, we are hoping to spend less conference time awarding prizes and encourage schools to bring 3-4 prizes at most so we can have more time to mingle and network.
I would like to thank Joan Jagodnik for her work with Oregon Transfer Days. She was worked very hard with that event and we are appreciative for her time and leadership.
We have some new features for the OrACRAO homepage that are being worked on, and some new additions to the Annual Meeting that we hope will help us bring more creative energy, and more accountability to our organization.
I hope to see some of you before OrACRAO at the AACRAO Annual Meeting in San Francisco.
Sincerely,
Danny Aynes
President, OrACRAO
