Overview

Each year, the OrACRAO Executive Board will determine if it is financially feasible to offer a conference scholarship(s); amount and the number of scholarships awarded to be determined by the Executive Board. If feasible, the Vice President will post scholarship application materials to the OrACRAO Web Site and list serve no later than, but preferably prior to, posting the annual conference registration information. All scholarship activities will be coordinated by the OrACRAO Vice President.
The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage new professionals to attend OrACRAO’s annual conference and become involved in association activities. Veteran members, however, are also encouraged to apply.

Application

Applicants will be required to complete a general application; written proposal expressing their interest in attending OrACRAO, how they will benefit from attending, and why they are applying for a scholarship; and provide a letter of support from his/her supervisor. The Executive Board will determine the annual deadline for the scholarship.

Application Scoring

Executive Board members will anonymously review applications and award points based on the following criteria:

Attended two to four conferences
Attended five or more conferences

   Why do you want to attend the OrACRAO Conference?
   Reasons you are applying for the scholarship?
   What outcomes you expect from attending the conference?

3. Letter of Support from Supervisor 0 – 3 points

Scholarships will be awarded to the top points recipients, based on the number of available scholarships. Applicants will be notified in writing of their scholarship status within two weeks of the application deadline.
