Though it operates “behind the scenes” for the most part, the association’s constitution and by-laws are a necessary part of who we are as an organization. As with any growing organization, changes are necessary from time to time.
The Executive Committee met earlier this year to review our current guidelines and is proposing several amendments to our governance documents. These amendments are being presented to the membership in advance of the annual business meeting (to be held during the annual conference on May 6, 2008) for the prerequisite one month advance notice.
Please read the proposed amendments and be prepared to vote for their approval at the annual business meeting (only institutional members are eligible to vote on association matters).
Any questions pertaining to these proposed amendments should be directed to myself in advance of the business meeting.
